2025–26 Winter Youth Impact
Opening the mountain to new discoveries.
Generous support helped Corbeau Snowsports deepen a pathway that begins with fully equipped beginner access and now reaches into advanced development — giving young skiers and snowboarders more coaching, more confidence, and a clearer view of what comes next.
2026 at a glance
Another season of access, progression, and possibility
Corbeau’s beginner Youth Snowsports Camp is delivered in partnership with the Cincinnati Recreation Commission and supported by grantors, sponsors, volunteers, and Perfect North Slopes. The result is a six-week on-ramp that makes winter sports feel possible, welcoming, and worth returning to — the foundation for what comes next.
Beginner access
Youth Snowsports Camp
Corbeau’s six-week beginner program introduces young people to skiing and snowboarding in a welcoming, supported environment. The camp removes common barriers by providing the full experience: transportation, lift access, lessons, rentals, outerwear, gloves, goggles, socks, meals, volunteer support, and community. All youth need to do is get on the bus.
The camp is the foundation: first turns, first lifts, first wins, and the first time many youth can picture themselves belonging in winter sports.

Made possible together
The beginner camp exists because funders, resort partners, civic partners, volunteers, and families all meet youth at the starting line. We are grateful to the organizations that help make a full, welcoming experience possible.

Advanced development
The next step: Olympic Pathway Pilot
The pilot connected local freestyle preparation at Perfect North with immersive training in Utah. When travel, weather, and terrain limitations changed the plan, Corbeau adapted responsibly, retained the learning goals, and kept the focus on safe progression.
Local preparation
Freestyle and park lessons helped youth begin building air awareness, body control, and confidence close to home.
Woodward coaching
Private instruction and progression-based facilities gave athletes a structured way to try bigger movements safely.
Mountain experience
Athletes rode larger terrain, adapted to changing conditions, and experienced what higher-level development can look like.
Resilience
The pilot showed that progression is also the ability to respond: adjust the schedule, preserve the learning, and keep moving toward the next challenge when conditions change.
Youth profiles
Meet the pathway athletes
Every athlete arrives with a different starting point. These three stories show what can happen when access, coaching, and a little courage meet at the right moment.
Snowboarder · 13
Jonathan
He brings a careful, technical mindset to snowboarding. Though he rode only a few days per winter since 2020, gymnastics through Level 5 men’s USA Gymnastics gave him a strong movement foundation.
Off the snow, he is a straight-A student, runs cross country, and loves anime. On the trip, he reached four to five feet higher than ever on a controlled straight-air jump and landed a first tamedog on a small jump.
Skier · 10
Jacob
He is in his second season on snow and is still early in his skiing journey. During his first season, he progressed from bunny terrain to difficult blue runs. On this trip, he learned to ski backwards, built air awareness, and advanced through difficult blue and easy black terrain in the park.
He does not always look comfortable yet, but he has strong control and comes alive carving at speed. The freestyle foundation points toward real potential in racing.
Skier · 17
Roy
He has participated in all four years of Corbeau’s beginner program and is now one of its strongest skiers. At Perfect North, he embraced big jumps, rough falls, and the challenge of continuing to work. His first trip West introduced him to new training equipment, bigger terrain, and a higher-level development environment.
Off the snow, he has played in band for eight years, creates 3D designs, and enjoys gaming, electric biking, and Young Life. His experience and resilience could make him a strong future peer leader, chaperone, and champion for younger athletes.
